In '97 I worked at Orca Studios where we were recording a band called 'Minority'. They lived in the downtown east-side and skateboarded everywhere. If you wanted to reach them you'd call a restaurant and somebody would run up a flight of stairs to get them.
One day I shared the concept and title of this song with the lead singer and said he should write it. He said, "why the hell don't YOU write it???"
Indeed.
